Using the PER-LHR flight in a RTW ticket
This may have been asked elsewhere but if so I couldn't find it. If you are travelling on a RTW One World ticket, and you fly on the new PER-LHR flight, does that mean you don't have to count Asia as a continent? If you fly via the Middle East then it counts as part of Asia (if you are going to Europe), but going via PER to London seems to avoid this.

Asia will still be counted. The wording of the rule is:
Travel between South West Pacific and Europe/Middle East on a single flight number/or by surface eg LON-SYD/MELvv, DXB-SYD/MELvv, DOH-ADL/MEL/PER/SYDvv, is considered travelling via Asia. Continents South West Pacific, Asia and Europe/Middle East must each be counted. However, if you are starting in Oceania, you could also visit Asia at the end of the trip, just before returning to Oceania (for example PER-LHR-LAX-HKG-PER) |
Dear Jerry,
