EMECO were very helpful in ticketing my AONE4 on 8th Jan just before the price rise. I had the tickets FEDEXed to the UK. They arrived a few days later. I payed with my AMEX card.

My AMEX statement arrived today, which covered the period 28th Dec-28th Jan. No charge for my RTW tciket has been taken.

What should I do !!!
Should I query it I could risk a double charge, can I ask any innocent questions ?

Do I risk the chance of the tickets being cancelled without my knowledge.

My AONE ticket took 2 months to appear on my credit card bill.
Don't worry - it'll get there sooner or later!

Call AMEX and ask if there was an authorization done.

Your ticket most likely would show the AMEX authorization number.

It usually takes two month as they process them on a old-style paper slip. I had the same issue with BA in Cairo last year.

One more vote "don't worry about it for a month or two" at least if they follow the same path to the bank that BA uses.

Back in the good old days when the AA RTW desk could issue tickets that originated anywhere, I got one on which they took eight months to process the charge. Of course, they processed it again 4 months later.

The BA ticket I got in CAI last year took several months for the charge to process. Just relax, it will be there soon enough.

Mine took almost a month. However, my CC had been authorized the day the ticket was issued.

I bought my AONE with my Diners Club card.. the charge was authorized on July 6, but didn't appear on my statement until September, and didn't pay the bill until Nov 5th.. a 4 month slide.

An interesting question :
"How do they crossrate the EGP ???"
Bankingrate at the day of issue or at the day AMEX debit the account ?? Or can they take everything between ?
I got a ticket issued 2 weeks ago. It is priced and showed in the ticket only EGP !
I confirmed payment in EGP ! The Universal Credit Card Change Form shows handwritten
70538 EGP # 11433 USD # 8959 EUR
What can I expect on my statement ?
I think 70538 EGP crossrated at the rate, when AMEX got the debit !
As the EGP the last years only went down against the EUR, it should be not to bad if it takes a long time.
But if they charge the 11433 USD which where cross rated by 1,2761 to Euro at the date of issue, and we expect a stronger USD, the price in Euro could easily rise by 5 % if having a rate by around 1,21 !

It seems to me the conversion to USD took place when the charge was authorized and the transaction will go forward at that amount, as a USD charge (even tho' the ticket of necessity must show EGP to comply with the rules.)

Among other things you save your c/c company's forex charge. The rate given by Ameco in particular was almost exactly that quoted (a day later, at least) by my forex "authority", xe.com.
