Your changes seem to be adding miles to your trip, not removing them. If you travel AKL-TBU on PH you are adding 2,500+ miles to the trip; traveling SYD-NAN adds about 3,000.

In order for you to develop a viable itinerary, let me give you some sites that will help you figure it out.

First is a site that will compute the mileage for you. It is here.

Next are two sites from which you can download Oneworld electronic timetables. I prefer the first of the two but either will give you the information on what flights are, in fact, available. They are here and here.

With the information from these sites you can develop an itinerary that suits your needs and the rules. You can determine what tradeoffs you are willing to make to stay within the 34,000 mile limitation.

Once you have developed what you believe is a compliant route, post it here and we will comment on it.

I did look at the route CAI-BCN-MAD-SCL-PUQ-MPN-SCL-PPT-AKL-TBU-AKL-SYD-JNB//DAR-DXB-CAI and it still comes in a shade over 34,000 at 34,170. However, the MGLOB* fare requires that surface sectors be included in the mileage, thus taking the total mileage well over 35,000.
