Idea out of LHR? Tired of IST.

I usually do the LHR to IST to LHR to max out miles. Tired of IST and also visa fee high. I also do the LHR to DXB to LHR in three cabin F. Anyone have a idea instead of IST. Would love a three cabin idea. Not so much need to max out miles as I am pretty safe with "Q" this year. Please advise and thanks. Regards

SVO? Same distance as IST, but maybe more hassle visa-wise.

Lots of visa work. How about another idea? Three cabin please. Thanks

As I am sure you are aware the visas are good for three months and unlimited entries in that time if that makes you feel better.

CAI is served by a 744 in three class config according to Amadeus, if you want a break from DXB. No idea what Egypt is like visa-wise.

If you still want to do DXB, then the other 2 sements will have to be in a 2 class plane as there are no 3 class European routes!

So, why not pick somewhere nice in mainland Europe and do a day trip? If you want to maximise miles, the Canary Islands or Athens spring to mind.

As suggested above, if you are looking for DXB replacement, CAI is a good option as you can buy a visa on arrival. Also consider BAH which is also visa on arrival.

When you're tired of Istanbul, you're tired of life....

helsinki, athen......but all on the claustrophobic CE 2 class cabin

if u can fly from non-lon hub. the restriction on 'long-haul europe' does not apply. you can explore the longer routes of AY/EI, if there is.

Do AY or EI even have first class?

No, they don't, both offer a 2 class service. IB do, but not on any European routes that I know of

You could always try Muscat in Oman - slightly longer than DXB and warmer than most EUR places !!!

If you want scenery, you could try HEL from LHR with either BA or AY. Supposed to be very good.

Have you been to Moscow - another possibility.

You can also try other destinations such as Tel Aviv, Bahrain, Kuwait, Doha etc.

Thanks all. I'll stick with the plan to max out miles.

TLV is a 3 class 767 and 777 service on BA and price is good. Also a great city and no visa required
