refers to this piece of news: http://biz.yahoo.com/djus/020822/1949000875_1.html. Here's the gist: NEW YORK -- Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE :DAL - News) , Northwest Airlines Corp. (NasdaqNM:NWAC - News) and Continental Airlines Inc. (NYSE:CAL - News) are expected to announce as early as Friday a broad code-share agreement which will link their schedules both domestically and internationally, and allow their customers to use each other's frequent-flier programs and airport lounges, according to people familiar with the deal. ADVERTISEMENT The 10-year deal would basically fold the alliance of Northwest, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Continental, known unofficially as "Wings," into " SkyTeam," the alliance of Delta, Air France Group and others, according to a person familiar with the deal. that would make SkyTeam the biggest alliance and leave ONEWORLD back in the sand. quoi faire? But Oneworld FT members here DON'T fly any of the carriers mentioned above.
We don't need to be exorcised, thank you! |
Color me http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/confused.gif as well.

This is all well and good, but OW is starting to look stale. I find it quite laughable that Northwest, Continental and Delta - ferocious competitors all sharing the same home patch - can hop in to bed together. It makes BA's filibustering on the admission of Swiss in to OW look laughable.
