You guys/gals are scaring me here with this talk of AC ending their practice of awarding status miles based on cabin flown vs ticket price (I thought CP did this too?). If they did there's no way I'll make it to SE in 2001. BB to quote from your earlier post ... "and the fact that (until now) AC gives status and air miles based on cabin seated in not based on fare paid" ... what do you mean by "until now"? Was something sent out by Aeroplan?

Like BB, every flight I have flown this year has been credited with J (actually C!) class miles. Yet I have heard a similar story to Megamiles from a friend of mine who did not receive the J bonus status miles. He even called Aeroplan and was told that is the way it is! He is E status so I wonder if that might be the reason? Megamiles - are you E or SE?

And finally my main (only) beef with Aeroplan are the comparative rewards. With CP a first class reward from North America to South Africa is 125K - on British Airways in their first class suite to boot. With AC/LH were talking two rewards totalling 240K miles and a lesser FC product.
