RJ no price feedback for new reservation.

exCAI died already?

BA mentioned

Hi all,
Due to a change in circumstances, I was suddenly able to consider a RTW for next year. Having checked Expertflyer every day this week (in addition to this excellent thread, of course - thank you all!), QR still had not withdrawn their prices this morning. I gave their London Customer Service a call this morning, and made a booking (DONE4), starting CAI-DOH. The rep was a bit unsure of what to do and put me on hold a couple of times to ask for advice.
Now I am just waiting for them to get back to me. I rate my chances as certainly not higher than 50%

This is interesting, didn't think of this option. They also have a ticket desk inside Harrods.

How did you manage the married segments? End up stopping over in DOH? They seemed to be 0'd out for everything ex CAI on QR.

+1? There is a very complicated code share solution floating around that definitely requires a TA. But if QR will do it themselves I'd love to hear a successful story.

2 thoughts: QR flies not only from Cairo but also from Luxor and Alexandria. Also, married segments are very destination specific. As an example, ATL seems to have no married segment restrictions from any origination point that I have checked....

Hi,
there was indeed some back and forth regarding that first segment. The agent said something about there only being "higher class" availability on some days. I don't know what that means; there is no First service to Cairo, AFAIK. And yes, DOH is just a change of planes on my way to Beijing.

Anyway, still waiting to hear back. I will let you know either way!

Ex-Cai fare still works on the new OW website as long as the outbound flights are on RJ. You can then pay for the ticket on the RJ website (manage my booking). There is no need to go through any RJ personnel.

Hi there - that is great news. I have tried about 20 times in the last week, with various departure and arrival combinations as mentioned in the thread. Every single time, an email window pops up with a message that an error has occurred and I need to contact RJ or BA. This is for 10 or 11 flights between May and Oct of 17. Best wishes to those who have got the Oneworld booking page to work. John.

For travel beginning in May, 2017 -- and possibly extending through to May, 2018 -- the likelihood of you successfully choosing the exact itinerary that you will actually end up traveling is, ime, poor. I therefore recommend reconciling yourself to paying at least one $125 reroute fee. Once that reconciliation occurs, it becomes quite easy to book a xONEx with just a relative handful of flights, of which only the first, or first few, are "firmed up" to what you really want.

[FWIW, given the withdrawal of the ex-CAI fare by so many OW airlines, I think it highly unlikely that your ability to buy the fare from the website will last even this whole week. YMMV]

Can you post an example? As far as I can see, RJ have pulled their fare, and that's why saved itineraries that previously priced with RJ now no longer work.

Try a simple itinerary such as CAI (RJ) BKK (CX) JFK (BA) CAI. It priced out correctly and you get a Booking Reservation Number and then you get on the RJ website (Manage Booking) and punch in the reservation number. Just now, it worked all the way up to the payment page and of course I stopped there because I have no intention of buying another ticket . Obviously, you will need to reroute this ticket after you've used the first sector to get your desired trips.

Thanks kindly buzzing.
I have additionally tried about 8 times, very simple simple routings starting in May 2017. EF shows wide open "D" class availability on 4 flights a day CAI-AMM, but every time the oneworld booking page gives an error saying "no availability on 1st flight, please change date". John.
