Problem with Connection and MH

I have a QR flight that arrives to CMB at 8:45 am. I need to get to BKK by 8:45 am the next morning.

Given the late arrival into CMB, I miss all the direct flights to BKK. I booked a biz class ticket on MH that leaves CMB at noon, arrived in Singapore, then onto BKK. Unfortunately, MH canceled the Singapore to BKK route. After what felt like forever, MH agreed to put me on a JetStar flight. I'm not even sure the JetStar flight has biz class or earns miles on AA.

Anyway, I now have a four hour layover in Singapore and arrive to BKK at midnight.

My question is, are here any other creative routings on oneworld? I need to leave CMB after 8:45 am (arrival on QR) and my flight leaves BKK at 8:45 am the next morning. I can also stay the night somewhere (even CMB) so long as I make my 8:45 am flight the next morning.

Jetstar Asia is an LCC and doesn't earn miles in oneworld and will be all economy.

Not sure about timings, but there's also UL and CX you can look at.

You don't say what date.

Some option I can see on random dates

redeye next morning UL CMB-BKK
afternoon/evening MH CMB-KUL-BKK (where KUL-BKK is codeshare on TG)

yes that is a good option. Can stay at Jetwing Lagoon, get some sleep, then leave.

That gives 2 hours in BKK before QR fligt to Doha. is there anything else? I need to call MH back to make a decision soon.

They do with a connection in KUL. CMB-KUL-BKK in MH Z class is a desirable route for many QFF members...

Alas the OP is correct in that MH flights from CMB won't work with his time constraints.

Happy wandering

Yea I originally booked it through MH now on UL.

This is the flight

I'm just gonna cancel it and take the Sri Lankan direct flight @ 1:00 am I think. It gives me the day to spend in Colombo, which looks like a good city.

The other timetables don't work at all.

Any other flights or is that about it? Colombo has some weird flight times!

Still no MH there... so are you again sure you've got MH since it doesn't even touch KUL !

So there is no possible way that you've booked through MH.
