Question - a stand-alone "Help with my route" thread?
Would you be interested in a new "sticky" thread in which people could post proposed itineraries for comments or improvements? Thanks for your feedback.

Maybe there's a better way to break it down. Is it possible to create a separate forum as a OW sub-forum? That way, each separate itinerary could be its own thread, addressing the specific issues raised in that itinerary but which might not be relevant to other itins. That way everyone (including the OP) could see the responses to that specific request grouped all in one place without anything not relevant and this distracting. Just a thought....

With the addition that the sticky at the top of said forum, list the top (cheapest) locations for the (L/D/A)ONE(3/4/5/6) starting points and highlight when price increases are noted.

No, the existing sticky threads [such as the “newbie lounge”] are generally simple question/answer threads. Once someone’s question has been answered, they generally don’t need to go back to the thread. Sticky threads are ideal for this sort of thing.
In most cases, route assistance threads have multiple suggestions and questions as the travellers plans are worked out and routes are refined. If all threads of that type end up in a single thread, it will very quickly become confusing as to who is asking for help with what. A sub forum would be ideal, putting it all in a sticky thread is just asking for a mess.

1. A thread for itins using the maximum number of segments. I see this as useful in a separate thread for people who care more about using up all segments.
2. A thread for how to construct legal itins which include certain cities or other pax-desired routing issues/questions. Potentially useful separately for, say, academic types on Sabbatical. They may not be terribly concerned about using all 16 (currently) segments, but see the xONEx as a money saving device to plan a multi-month trip of a lifetime.
3. A thread for pricing info. This should definitely include a sticky at the top which lists the best current origins for each fare, AONE3, AONE4, AONE5, DONE3, etc., with no discussion. Just a very simple reference. Then the remainder of the thread (below the sticky) can be for fare discussions, ticketing issues, etc.
4. A thread for rules discussion by itself. Rules change from time to time, and there are varying interpretations of the rules, even from carrier to carrier. While there might be some overlap with proposed thread #2 above, I do see this as a separately useful thread.
I think that those four threads would probably carry whatever we need in this space and also keep everything pretty well organized.
Whaddya think, Gardy?

Good question, as the advice people give here for making xONEx tickets is great (I assume you've seen the thread about my LONE5). I do agree with Dr. HFH though, that each route needs its own very specific advice, and hence a separate thread.
Consolidating all the xONEx's together would help though, to point people with similar routings, or similar origins to gather in one place. What I would suggest would be to make a masterthread that just links to each xONEx topic, while also listing some specific information with each topic:
- xONE type
- Routing info
- Stopovers
- price
- Trip status earning potential (with or without challenges listed)
- trip goals: mileage run/destinations/challenge/... ?
- did I miss anything?
This would provide a 'at a glance' starting point for people considering xONEx's.

So would I, prompted in part by someone using the "F routes" thread to post a question today.
The limited response to the poll in this thread is probably due to the fact that few of us visit this forum daily or even weekly. That doesn't mean we don't care about it.

No, and in fact I'm going to "un-stick" this thread. My sense is that this question turns up in a great many threads and all a dedicated thread would do would be to further dilute responses, making it harder, not easier, to get definitive information.
