Status Match Help

I am a Star Alliance Gold (top tier on UA / 1K). I will be flying Cathay over the next 2 months 2-3 Transpacs, and would like to carry status to use lounges and other amenities.

I currently have mileage accounts (no status on OW)
CX - 0 miles
BA - 110,000 miles
AA - 20,000 miles
QZ - 0 miles

So it would seem as though I would want to see if I could do a status match on BA or AA.

One critical issue is, I would like to have status operational by Sept 5.

Any thoughts/suggestions? Who do I contact?

Actually CX might be your best bet. Just contact Macro Polo Club and provide them your PNRs. Good luck!

Please note that CX strictly matches only up to Silver status (except company or targeted status matches) for whatever status (whether its UA 1K or 2P) - although it still offers a good range (priority check-in / boarding / baggage handling and lounge access) of benefits despite being the lowest tier.

BA does not match while AA only gives challenges (for flying AA-coded flights only). CX would be your best choice. They may consider matching to Gold under special circumstances.

Thanks toyota. Luggage and Lounge are the most important. Is there a direct contact, or just send to the general email? What do I send, a copy of my 1K card?

To sum up, they require:

1. A copy of your current United 1K membership card
2. Your United activity statements of the past 12 months

The contact email is [email protected]

And proposed CX itineraries or CX flights already booked will help too.
