Any oneworld connection americas/afrika?
 

Is it possible to get a connection between Americas & Afrika without touching Europe? A land segment can be used with DONE?

Not on OW metal, AFAIK. One needs to transit through another continent to get from the Americas to Africa - Europe, Asia, or SWP.

As already said, there are no flights which can be used on a xONEx. We were all excited when a couple of years back a flight was showing in the timetables but it turned out it was only some testing and the flight wasn't real.

In regards to surface sectors: In principal they are allowed. However, surface sectors between T2 (Africa/Europe) and T1 (North/South America) are not allowed unless you started your journey in South West Pacific.

No oneworld member has a flight across the south Atlantic. This is the reason why xONE3's are not available from the Southern Hemisphere.
It won't be possible unless MX, AA or LA starts a nonstop flight to Africa or QF did something like extending QF17/18 and/or QF63/64 for a EZE-JNB leg.

I don't think so. Circle Pacific fares don't include Africa, and there's no Atlantic crossing to make it a *ONE* fare. Which Oneworld product were you looking at?

Surface sectors don't matter with regard to how many continents are counted. If a continent is touched, it counts; or in the case of ORD-DEL, Europe counts even if it isn't touched.

While surface sectors are generally allowed, certain intercontinental surface sectors are specifically prohibited. As a result you cannot travel between Africa and the Americas by surface segment if that is what you were asking originally (or the Americas and and any other continent other than S. America for that matter unless one originates in the SWP, see the exception below).

- you must cross the Atlantic
- you cannot revisit SWP

Yep, with the way the rules are written, a segment between ORD and DEL is not considered as 'touching' Europe - it just invokes a minimum continental charge. The wording is:So one can do SWP-ASIA-xNA-SA-NA-SWP; satisfying both the SWP 4 continent rule and the 4 continent ORD/DEL&SWP/SA rule.
