Japan Airlines Corp., formally asked retirees to accept a reduction in pensions as it battles to avoid collapse. The company will seek an agreement by Jan. 12, Japan Air President Haruka Nishimatsu told reporters today in Tokyo. British Airways Plc canceled all European and U.K. domestic flights from Heathrow after 7 p.m. in London yesterday and said in a statement on its Web site that flights are “significantly disrupted,” with several cancellations at London Gatwick and London City airports following their earlier closure.
