Importing reservations

Is there any way to get a reservation onto "My Info" so that I can change seats? I have a e-ticket reservation made thru CO for EWR-NRT-SIN and return and I would like to be able to change the seating on the NW segments by going to My Info. I know the NW reservation number, but there does not seem to be a way to get it into "My info". Is this really the case, or is there something I am doing wrong.
Thanks
Ed

From my experience, it really is the case and you'll have to call NW to change seats.

However, adjusting that feature so that you could change seats to non-www.nwa.com purchased itineraries would really make life a whole lot easier.

I asked, and no, you can't. Even for NW reservations.

This, IMHO, is one of the few areas where co.com is better than nwa.com. FWIW, I look at the seatmap using ITN, then call NWA and change my seats...yes there's gotta be a better way, but I havn't found it yet.

Hey Zipper,
How do you get itn to give you the seat map?? I use it all of the time to check for the upgrade bucket, but never tried for the seat map.

Thanks,

Tubeman

make a fake res and get to the ticketing part...it ask you for your seat preferences before you buy... and shows a seat map with elite and regular seats to pick from. Like I said, if you have a multi seg itin, it may take some time to look at, but usually is spot on.

You would think that the "seamless" service between CO and NW, especially if you are on a CO-designated/NW-operated flight, would allow you to request/change a seat assignment on the codeshare portion.

This can be done at the E-ticket kiosks on the day of departure, but I would think you could do this online as well.

Does CO have an online support phone number? Give them a call. If anything, they would be able to access the NW res and change your seat.

The next time you're at an airport, you could ask a NW, CO or even a DL agent to go into the res and change the seat.
