World Perks Visa Discount Code

Anyone know when the annual World Perks Visa Discount Code (the one that provides a 6000 mile discount) is supposed to come out this year?

I seem to recall it coming out around Thanksgiving last year and was wondering if I missed it.

I got mine in May which came in a piece of junkmail. It was a little pull-down tab thing.

Then I got it again in November. This time it was like a paper credit card. I thought it was a second one, but both adverts had the same e#.

You can always call them and they can look it up for you.

This is the WPVisa 6,000 miles off award tickets for 2 reservations made at same time.

It gets sent to you shortly after you pay your annual fee, whenever that is. For me, that's February.

As I pay my annual fee in November I used to receive a paper copy of the discount code along with the CC bill in said month. I did not receive the paper copy in November, but did, just yesterday, receive an email with the code.

I received mine via email yesterday.

I hope this isn't an idiot question but I'm a little foggy on one point...on the two 6k discounts can you book two individual separate award tix for different travel or is it only for up to two tix on one identical itin?

It is only good for up to two tickets on an identical itin. From the reward email NW sent:

"As an annual benefit of your WorldPerk's Visa Signature Card, you may redeem up to two award tickets when booked in the same reservation for as little as 19,000 WorldPerks miles each. That's a savings of 6,000 miles per ticket!"

I got my new card two weeks ago. Do I have to wait till next Thanksgiving to get the code?

can't the code be published in forums like flyertalk since the PIN is your worldperks number, or is that incorrect?

thanks.

a stupid question from a new cardmember

To answer the OP, I received the 20,000 enrollment bonus today and also an email this morning with the 6,000 discount as described by the others.

For some reason I'm not finding out where to go to arrange to pay my credit card bill online. I have temporarily misplaced the paperwork that came with my new card. Could someone email me with the URL?

A second stupid question--if I use the feature where I can get $100 off my ticket, do I lose the ability to earn miles on those tickets?

The visa is issued by US Bank and you can enroll for online access there:
http://www.usbank.com/ -> Enroll in Internet Banking

Don't hold your breath: nothing earthshaking in terms of online features.

The mail looks like this:

Your WorldPerks # is [xxxxxxxx]

oh, okay. thanks. i have the NW Visa but don't have the mailer in front of me. i thought a lot of these promotions had your NW number being the PIN (so they can keep track of it).

Hm...so I probably should called since I got my card probably a week before you did. Should I call worldperks or usbank?

The large print giveth...

And the small print taketh away. Or so it seems to always be.

So I've got a question of two about this once-per-year award travel "discount". The offer says...

As an annual benefit of your WorldPerk's Visa Signature Card, you may redeem up to two award tickets when booked in the same reservation for as little as 19,000 WorldPerks miles each. That's a savings of 6,000 miles per ticket!"
What exactly does "as little as 19,000 miles" really mean? Surely you don't get a trans-oceanic seat up front for 19k. What exactly is the discount? I assume it's a sliding scale (x miles off on this level of award, y miles off on this level award, etc.). No?

Can anyone point me at the pertinent details? Thanks!
