CRJ's with inflight fueling http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif</font>
After researching, here is what I got:
The CRJ can go 2000 nm with 50 pax, seattle to HNL is 2,300 nm, LAX to HNL is 2,200 nm. Not far from a match http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif.
The embraer 190 has a range of 2,300 nm. JetBlue Long Beach to HNL anyone? (2200 nm)

Bizjets do the hop, why not an RJ?

Okay, so you're willing to do a "hop" across the Pacific in an RJ? I guess if you have to make the drive into town from Mililani everyday, the flight couldn't be that bad http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

But seriously, let's hope they keep the "big birds" flying into HNL...

"Bizjets do the hop" with far less payload than commercial carriers.

Slippahs, I'm able to work from a home office, and try to go into town no more than once a week to make sure no one volunteers me for new committees.

TW1, if there were money in long haul, thin routes, I think we would see the beast. A downsized F100 or even an upsized RJ70. Sonic Cruiser, Jr.

Actually, most of the B742 and DC-10 fleets have been leveraged...

The answer to the question above (which was my first post on FlyerTalk, BTW) is quite simple: NW hasn't made a decision as of yet. And if they had, they'd change their minds in the near future anyway http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif.
