i just received my gold elite kit for 2003. apparently it's "brown elite" this year. not a hint of gold to the card... :-)
the gold letter also states that alaska airlines upgrade certificates may be requested at nwa.com/elite. i don't see a link there to make the request, but it looks like the information ther is still based on the 2002 program. as an east-coast flyer, i don't use the AS certificates often, but when i do find myself flying up and down the west coast about once a year, they come in handy, and they do encourage me to fly alaska. (i'm 2 for 3 on upgrades with the certificates, which isn't bad at all considering all three attempts were on full flights originating or terminating in vegas..) |

Silver Elite has been Blue Elite ever since they introduced the Platinum level.

Has anybody found where to get the AS certificates? I looked all over but no dice.
I'm thinking about a trip to Alaska this summer and since I can't get an F award I might be willing to buy a ticket and play the upgrade lottery. -cwk. |

Does anyone know how these AS certificates are going to work? Is there a limit to how many we can acquire? Can we use them for companions? Does this mean that AS members can upgrade on NW flights?

I just got my Silver Elite package today. However, there was a tear/slit on the right side of the envelope http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mad.gif, so I want to make sure nothing was pilfered, if it wasn't an accident during mail delivery.
Can someone help me verify what's in the Silver Elite package? What I got was just 6 sheets of paper and my Silver Elite card: Page 1: Welcome letter + card Page 2: Silver Elite Program Summary/Program Enhancements/Benefits at a Glance/Helpful Suggestions Pages 3-6: On each page, six advertisements/WorldPerks promos (3x2 perforated tearouts) Thanks! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
