Extra Booking Bonuses Pulled
 

I checked my account at 3am and the "extra" 1,000 mile on-line/kiosk/check-in booking bonuses have all been pulled. I hope they re-instate them with the correct 500 mile bonuses and this doesnt affect my Mileage Mania points...

my mileage totals haven't changed at all overnight. Has anyone elses gone down?

I noticed they were doing domething on last Fri and Sat. I had extra 2000 for one way MSP-TYS (new route), which was incorrect since I did not fly RT. They took those extra miles out.

I had 4,000 miles pulled from my account :-(
New Service 2,000 Bonus Miles Offer was listed as 1,000 bonus miles for each of my segments from JFK-NRT, NRT-PVG, NRT-JFK and PVG-NRT. It would have been nice to get an email message about the error before pulling the miles out of the account beforehand.

They pulled the Visa 1000 mile bonus and the NWA.com 2000 mile bonus from my account. I had to call 2x to get them in the first place, but the rep put them in as 3 separate 1000 mile NWA.com bonuses (I don't know why), so now someone else pulled them, and I have to call again to get them back. Grrr.

Well got ahold of a wonderful CSR this morning, I was her first call... what a way to start the morning. After about 30 mins, and talking with a supervisor she told me that "it looks like they were doing some tinkering over the weeeknd" but no one informed the WP department of that. She sent my info to the supervisor who was going to look into it. She also suggested that people call if they have bonuses (check-in, purchases on NWA.com, etc.) that may have been affected by this "glitch".

I was missing close to 10,000 miles from my account. Most were the visa/new service/kiosk check in bonuses. Spoke to 3 reps said there was nothing they could do. I wasnt going to push it since I think some of these were possibly posted incorrectly.

By the way, when did the visa bonus end? Its not showing up on the WP site anymore.

I lost 8,000 miles this weekend. Oh well, easy come, easy go. (Actually this makes sense; on my last two trips, 8 segments, I got an extra 500 miles per segment for new service even though these weren't new routes).

Now if only NW would consider me a "valued traveler" and give the miles back!

Travel must be completed by 31 December. So it's still on.

I had 6,000 miles disappear that were formerly listed as "new service" on segments for a r/t to BKK via NRT. As happy as I was when the windfall originally showed up, I also knew it was an error so I can't really complain that they recovered the errant miles.

Same thing here... I told the CSR I wasn't that concerned about the 6K, but there should have been other bonuses (purchase at nwa.com, on-line check-in, etc.) that should have been there. I was also concerned if any of this "tinkering" would affect mileage mania, since no one really knows how many points they have (except those of us using spreadsheets http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif )

THe big problem is that if I wasnt using miletracker I would have never known! If they pull miles from your account, you would think they would list them as debits or something like reward travel or something if they were posted to your account incorrectly. Now I have no idea if i was really supposed to receive the bonuses or not since there is no way of finding out what was originally there. I lost about 8000 miles. Out of this 7000 miles were new r/t which I am not sure of. But the other 1000 miles for using the self-service checking in airport for the first time.
