Using MCO on internet booking

I booked my ticket on nwa.com and then realized I had an MCO from earlier in the year. I called NW reservations, hoping they could credit my credit card or something and was told the only way I could use the MCO is if I made the reservation on the phone. When I explained that if I did that, I wouldn't get any bonus miles for booking online, he said "Well that's just a choice you have to make". Is this true?
Thanks!

:::Piles on::: Unfortunately, using an MCO means no online booking bonus. Other airlines are the same way.

On a positive note ... one of NWA's promo message that comes on while you're on the phone says nwa.com currently can't process paper vouchers on the web.

That leads me to believe that you may be able to do it down the road. NWA started web check-in - I can't imagine that processing paper vouchers on the web is that much harder.

While this is true when using nwa.com, I was once (Oct 2001) able to use a Northwest dollar voucher at the ticket office after I had made a reservation online using the Entertainment coupon and putting it on hold. I received the online booking bonus in that case.

I don't know if this still works or not.

Incidentally, I had reported this on FT, and the thread is one that is referenced by UpgradeMe.

CO isn't, I've used a CDTC (or whatever CO calls their TCV) on their website. It was really convenient.

So far it's the only feature continental.com has that is better than nwa.com.
