upgrade to first

Hey all-
I just got my silver status and was hoping for my first upgrade. I'm planning on either PVD-SAN on NW/CO. Have people been successful as silver trying to upgrade on this route? Is there another website with this info? And has a NW silver ever been EUA'd on CO?

Yep, though not as often as on NW. Most NW planes have a larger F to Y ratio than CO, leaving more seats for us lowly Silvers. It all depends on the day/time/type of aircraft.

Good luck!

You'll want to verify with NWA that your CO status is reflected in the itin. There are a couple of threads discussing CO OP #'s showing up in the NWA itin but not reflecting actual status. My wife recently experienced this with a flight that was CO managed but on NWA metal. Her CO OP # was in the system but did not show as silver.

I'm planning on booking my ticket tonite within the two week window for my "K" fare.

Is it safe to say F availability on ITN can be determined by looking first at F and P availability and secondly at the premium seat map to see how many premium(potentially elites I would assume) have already booked their flights?

And this is probably a stupid question, but do you have a better chance of upgrading on flights orginiating around noon excluding M,F?

Thanks!

Back to simple stuff for a minute.

I know how to check ITN for F and P availability. How do you check the premium seat map?

Thanks

As a general rule, you have a better opportunity to upgrade in the middle of the day. When I was silver, I was upgraded about 70% of the time - maybe more.

Have fun....

Pretend that you are buying a premium seat on ITN

Call in, have the agent delete, then re-enter, your FF# in your reservation.

That should update the record with the current status.
