Exciting Program "enhancements" for '07: Predictions?

Well, the 25’Th is coming up quick (I think that was when RC said it was coming out). Any guesses at "enhancements" for 07?

1. Some type of SWU recognition for very high mileage flyers (>125K)
2. More availability for Perk saver inventory for Gold/Plat members
3. Better discount for Gold/Silver WC memberships.
4. Double Plat recognition (could be the same as 1)

My 4 guesses.

I know nothing about the 2007 WP "enhancements", but I am positive that any changes are going to be EXCITING. :D :D :D

/Pure speculation hat on

I think we will see a couple highly restricted SWUs for Plats, possibly as a bonus for reaching 100K eqm. Other than that I think it will be mostly status quo, although I could go for a few drink certs!

Drink certs sounds good to me. 1 or 2 for every CRJ flight, since 38 out of my new 42 segments are likely to be CRJs. Yuck!! (That is unless the new changes are so bad that I decide to take all of my business to United)

A handful of drink certs would be nice, or even a policy that if a Plat is in a CRJ or the back of a mainline aircraft he/she could just flash thier Plat card and get free drinks and smart snacks.

I'm guessing:

* SWUs, but that's a rather "complex" new feature, that might take up to a year to plan and implement (mainly having to do with training).

* Plat threshhold bonuses, every 25k EQM. It sure would be interesting to know what percentage of Plats stop flying NW after making 75K EQM... and you know NW has measured that.

* WC purchases/discounts, based on milage. Believe DL/UA/AA all offer membership with milage (70k miles for 1 year, for top-tier, but that's rediculous!), and it would be nice to be able to apply milage against NW lifetime memberships ($.01/RDM?).

And per the post above... the option of paying to have your photograph added to a WC or Elite card, so that you don't have to show your "governement issued ID" when entering a WC... or when receiving a Plat-specific benefit in Y.

I've always thought that I'd rather have a couple drink/snack box certs rather than 1000 miles if not upgraded as a Plat.

<Flame suit on>, Tne long awaited reciprocal EUA with Delta. <Flame suit off>. No SWU's but ability to upgrade lower fares (perhaps H and above) for Elites internationally

Now that would be an enhancement!

My guess is that there will be no major changes. I do predict some sort of WorldClub promotion.

EXCITING New stuff for '07: Expect more automation and simplification

There are some Exciting new changes (Note: No "enhancements") in automation, easier to understand Plat Tier Bonus (full program year) promotion and Exciting New Elite Cards (2007 Redesigned Cards)

Check it out on Thursday January 25th.

I am not sure what is hard to understand about the plat bonus so that may not be all that fantastic..

I for one would love to see more "automatic" beer machines like the ones in NRT in US wc's

:) :) :) :) :) :)

Platinum Points.

There are some interesting changes from what I understand, and they don't appear to be taking anything away. But, these "mildly intriguing" changes won't be announced until the 25th -- which isn't all that far away, mind you -- so I won't be speculating any further.
