I absolutely hate the new soy nut mix. We should protest to get our almonds back.

Big time. Its the only reason I get the mixed nuts over the spinzels. I would certainly take a big of the sticks over mixed nuts or spinzels.

Still not a great combo if you are ellergic to nuts. Well, at least they give me pretzels every now and then. :p

Personally I think those little soynuts are gross...I thought they were small peanuts, but then tried some...yuck

A mixed nut bag should include mixed nuts - peanuts, almonds, cashews, brazil nuts, etc...not pretzel sticks, soynuts, or other unidentified grains

I'm sure NWA will start charging for it soon anyway

My flights last week had those nasty little soy nuts but my Sunday flight had almonds. Maybe the soy nuts are already on the way out (or they were just leftover)?

"Composition of first class Fancy Nut Mix has changed "

WHAT? A corporation changed the nuts given away in FC without prior permission from FTers?

This is America. Sue the B@st@rds! :D

Peanuts aren't nuts. And soybeans aren't grains. Both are legumes.

Now why couldn't you have said "served" instead of "given away?" Then I could have said: "How can a corporation be responsible for the nuts and assorted other crazies like us who sit up front?"

But, alas, such glorious wit will have to wait for another day.

I noticed this change a few weeks ago and was tempted to start a thread entitled "What happened to the nuts in first class" but was afraid of the answers that I'd get... :)

Seriously, the soybeans are crumbly and messy. I'd much rather have almonds.

Have to agree -- got my first taste this weekend. I actually like soybeans but these were small and the mix seemed really oily.

Hope this is short-lived but still appreciate the larger seat and water refills! :)

Say it ain't so, part II

WHAT? Free water refills in FC? No wonder they're in bankruptcy! :D

Charge for transpac drinks, charge for exit seats. Soon extra charges for air, a 10 cent slot to turn on your overhead reading light(Electricity is expensive when made by burning jet fuel) and a coin slot "Insert 50 cents (refundable) to release your seat cushion if you want to use it for a flotation device."

Why not a credit card slot on the exit door "Want out of this burning plane? We think you'll agree that a $500 charge on your major credit card is a small price to pay".

NWA = Nickle-and-dime Whenever Airlines. :D
