Speaking of sacrilege, I can't stand Summit EPA. The only Summit I've ever really tolerated was their bock. :)

Sounds like another Minn/Wisc fight brewing... (No pun intended, really!)

Hey, my favorite microbrew comes from a small brewery in Vermont, so I'm not going to be getting into any cross-border bruhahahs. ;)

That said, there are some good MN microbrews, though.

This past Tuesday night from DCA to DTW, my FC cart had 4 Lites, 4 Buds, 2 Firebricks, 1 JP, and 1 Heineken. Ya just never know :D

How many does the rear/coach cart have? Seems to me that if you run out of the good stuff up front, I'd want to know how many were in the rear galley cart. ;)

Wow. The way you guys flip over beer, one might expect NWA to equip their planes with a frosty mug fridge.

:D

Anyone who enjoys real beer would never want a frosty mug, not even a lightly chilled one at that.

Unless in the NRT WorldClub, I'd generally agree. ;)

Stop it. It's a flippin' glass of beer. ;)

Amazing! Summit Pale Ale is a wonderful beer and one of the things I look forward to when near MSP. It hasn't made its way to MSN, although I've had one when in La Crosse.

The TGI Fridays in terminal C has it on draft.

The FireBrick gets a 55 on ratebeer.com, which is pretty respectable for those beer snobs.

The James Page is pretty highly rated, too.

The Augsburger Golden (19) is not.

I know you're trying to be funny, but there's a difference. My response that you're mocking was in response to several perceived TOS violations in that thread. Me? I simply expressed a preference in ales and asked for a clarification on the number of them stocked on-board. Hardly comparable to the fervor exhibited in That Thread™.

Well, part of it is that I'm just not much of an EPA guy. I've tried many of the very highly touted EPAs and I just can't get behind them. I'm definitely an Amber/Red/Bock kind of guy when I have a choice, save the occasional wheat or fruit beer.

Wow, that's more than anyone probably cares to know.

Born, raised, and residing in Wisconsin, I have to confess that the Summit Maibock is by far the best Maibock around (and heck--it's almost "Mai") and it beats out my homestate product(s) by a long shot because it's malty and spicy and not austere. But as airport beers go, the Summit EPA in C concourse is some of the best airport beer I know (except for here in Madison, where the Great Dane brewpub serves up their own 1st-rate product).

I do get the James Page inflight, and it does have enough flavor to be better than no beer, and this is rare on an aircraft. My favorite inflight beer, however, is the Radegast on CZ.

The problem with MSN is that I show up 15 minutes before my flight and only ever get to sample the beer when my flight is delayed.

Don't forget that they were serving Leinie's Red for a while as their premium lager. I had about 6 flights or so where that was the choice last year. To me, although I hate to give credit to Wisconsin for anything, that's an outstanding beer!!

Not that I'm interested in sponsoring brew-ha-has, but Schmutzig, what is your favorite VT beer? I went to school about two miles from the Otter Creek brewery, but have been known to enjoy some delicious Magic Hat periodically.
