Generally all movies available in coach are edited, but the extra movies available in WBC are not.

Most of those movies are listed as "edited" in WT Mag

I'd much rather read a book or sleep or watch my own DVD on my laptop. Having a screen blabbing infomericals in my face that I can't turn off just sucks, because I find it very hard to tune out. Plus they stick those stupid metal boxes under the seats, stealing half my legroom.

I also mostly use my own laptop and DVDs but still: I find (personal preference, I guess) there are usually a fair selection of movies I can tolerate. ... much better than no choice anyways.

I consider IFE essential on long haul flights, not necessarily for me but for the person sitting next to me: do I really want to be stuck next to someone who will have nothing to do but prevent me from minding my business on a long flight?
