New Elite Needs help!!
 

My the miles from my most recent flight posted this morning, finally making me Silver Elite. I have a question: I will be flying to Italy in December and want to call in the day seat maps come out (9/26) to reserve a bulkhead or exit row seat.

Can someone send me the Elite phone number or direct me to where I can get it, so I can get through to a human in a reasonable amount of time?

Also, I am travelling with my family but have two seperate reservations b/c I booked online with two credit cards. Will they let me book seats together in the "elite reserved" seats, or only for myself since there are two confirmation numbers?

Your silver status allows you to make seat selection for bulkheads and exit rows on nwa.com, even if you did not purchase the ticket online. It is a great new feature!

You will still have to call in to do preferred seating for the travelling companions on a seperate ticket. Only shoulder-to-shoulder seating is permitted for them. No opposite aisles or empty middle seats.

If you are elite you can also call 800-225-2525 and go to the World Perks menu. When you are prompted for your FF number, it will redirect you to the elite queue. It did this for me when I was Gold and didn't have my card yet (this was pre-elite line for Silver members).

That hasn't been my experience. I (Silver) recently purchased tickets at nwa.com for myself and my fiancee (not a member of any FF program). There are two separate ticket numbers (although only one six-character confirmation number). I had no problem assigning both of us online into preferred seating.

Then, I called the Silver Elite line to move us into exit row seating. On the outbound flight (a 757-200), we've got 16A and C, with an empty middle seat between us. (The return flight is on a -300, so I put us in 14A and 14B, as there is no 14C.) Again, no problems.
