Maybe FlyerTalk needs a timeout.
After two weeks without access some will have jumped off the nearest bridge with withdrawl symptoms, others will come to realize that they really can get through a day without reading/posting, and we'll let all these smoldering wars die out for lack of fuel. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I suggest that a new forum be created:
The Timeout Connection
This thread should be moved there immediately by one of those over-aggressive moderators.
Then I shall complain.

I like that suggestion! FewMiles is a "Mean Spirited, Hateful Person".
I suggest the following scenario:
1. Ban FewMiles for Life.
2. FewMiles comes back as another username.
3. That username get's banned for life too.
4. FewMiles then lies low for a while, posting to tarom.net.
5. FewMiles asks for a reinstatement to FT, based upon his exemplary behaviour on tarom.net.
6. Amazingly, FewMiles is granted reinstatement!
7. Even more amazingly, FewMiles manages to receive more Time-Outs and warnings, yet is still somehow viewed as an asset to FT!
Pretty Far Fetched, huh?

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">time-out
also time out (timout)
n. 1. Sports. A brief cessation of play at the request of a sports team or an official for rest, consultation, or making substitutions. 2. A short break from work or play.

I'd vote for that.

This raises many problematic questions:
1. What time should FlyMiles be let out?
2. Should he be let out permanently or only on parole?
3. How much time was he given in the first place and had he plea-bargained or been convicted by a jury?
4. What was his crime? Moreover, when he committed it, was he armed?
5. If he was armed, with whose arms?
6. Did he ever have an inappropriate sexual relationship with that woman, Miss Lewinsky?
7. If so, where were her arms at the time of the crime?
8. Where was his head at when he committed the crime? And Miss Lewinsky's?
9. Did he provide evidence of extenuating circumstances? How about unextenuating circumstances?
10. Was the evidence concerning extenuating and/or unextenuating circumstances physical evidence or merely circumstantial?
For the answers to these, and other questions, tune in next week, same time, same channel, to "The Time Out of Our Lives".

That reminds me of this other message board where there was this guy that said to the administrator "I dare you to ban me".
Never seen him post again.
