When parking at SFO, use Park SFO. Always have one day free and Club SFO members receive unlimited two days free coupons, at least the last few months, and even one seven day free coupon this month.

I tested the Parking Spot at LAX a few weeks ago, but did not join their frequent parking program because I forgot to sign up prior to exiting the structure (will do that next time).

Overall, I was extremely pleased with the ease and convenience of getting to/from the terminal. Their shuttles run very often, unlike some of the other parking lot shuttles, and are spanking new, and thus very clean. They also give you a free bottle of water when you get on the shuttle (and get off, upon your return).

One thing I really liked about the Sepulveda structure at LAX (LAX has two Parking Spot locations) is that it's a big parking garage with an elevator, as opposed to a spread-out lot. I find this layout to be more convenient than the sprawl of LAX lots such as Park One, or LAX lots B & C.

Out of all of the LAX parking facilities I've used, I think the Parking Spot is the most user-friendly. They are a bit pricey (3 price categories: valet, covered parking & rooftop parking), but the convenience factor is worth a few extra dollars to me - which is where being a memboer of the Spot Club could really come in handy.

You missed the most important thing!

Parking Spot at Selpulveda also has a door that allows access to and from the LAX In 'n' Out. This is perhaps its greatest feature, and the reason I use them.

I didn't notice that. Excellent point!

What's the parking lot that's next to Term 1 at LAX? I live so close to LAX that I normally cab to/from, but I have a bunch of personal trips coming up & might consider doing a parking thing if I can get a decent rate to offset the inconvenience of having to go to a lot (vs walking out the door & getting in a cab).

I usually use Avistar, but the wait at JFK is much too long. The coupons make them pretty reasonable, but beware - with the free day coupon they often say that it must be 48 hours.

ParkOne. Now operated by ParkNFly but NOT participating in their frequent parker program. Show your Rapid Rewards card (Southwest Airlines) and get a 20% (I think) discount, a bit better than the AAA discount.

SkiAdcock, I think you're referring to ParkOne. To my recollection, their rates were a bit higher than the Parking Spot ($14.95+tax/day, as opposed to $9.95+tax/day for rooftop parking at the Parking Spot). ParkOne's location is killer on the outbound, but it can be a bit inconvenient on the return if you have heavy bags & have to wait for the shuttle to drive around the huge expanse of the parking lot to get to the shuttle stop closest to your car.

They do have a website (parkonelax.com - sorry, too computer illiterate to figure out how to post a link), which lists a frequent parking program & has printable discount coupons.

Point to note: the Parking Spot has a second location on Century Boulevard, which would probably be the more convenient location from the 405N, unless you plan to head up Sepulveda & grab an In -n- Out burger on your way.

I use PreFlight at BWI Airport. Costs $9 per day but occasionally they send out coupons showing a $2.00 discount per day with the 7th day free. They're located about 7 minutes from the terminal. All the conveniences mentioned by other posters also apply here. I don't know if they have a frequent parkers club at this location.</font>
They do! When they claim the lot is full (think holiday weekends), just flash the red frequent parker card, and they guarantee you a spot.

And I have always been able to use the $2.00 off per day coupon on their website.

Click on print-friendly web coupon.

For me the biggest advantage over the airport long-term parking is that they drop you off right at your vehicle.

BWI preflight is great - I started using it when they expanded the Amtrak/MARC garage and restricted it to monthlies (and I haven't gone back since it opened back up to everyone)

Note that the old $2 web coupon expired at the end of last month. The current one is only for $1.50/day. However, www.longtermparking.com will lead you to a $2.00 coupon good through mid-November (thanks, xyzzy for the link in the above post - hadn't seen that before)

I started out with ParkNFly in New Orleans and discovered they are also at IAH so I have used the same cards.

There is a free day coupon here. They also give AAA discount.

At Hobby I have started to use Sunpark. There is an ENT coupon for them as well as a discount for Southwest RR members (20% I think) I also recently bought a book of 5 days of pre-paid parking from them for approx $25.00. They had a deal going where buy 1 travel pack get 1 free. That means I got 10 days of parking for $25.00. I'll be using it next week so I'll report back if there is any downside.

If you join their club you will get "one free day" coupons on a regular basis. When I use them it usually equates to a 25% or 33% discount.

Thank you Mr. July! I printed it out, then checked Airport Fast Park to see if they could match it--they're currently running an internet coupon for $6/day at their Blue Lot and $5/day on weekends! That beats out Preflight, and they're closer to the terminal.

I had done nearly every lot near BWI until 2 years ago when I tried Pre-Flight...they are the best.

The two best benefits are the 5 free days for every 15 paid days and the guaranteed parking (I have had to use it more than once). Using the coupon gets you down to $7/day and shuttles run frequently.

I have used Avistar in PHL and they are awful! It took 20 minutes to make the rounds and get to the airport. The shuttle was in disrepair and the lot layout chaotic.

Based on some suggestions above I signed up for the Avistar corporate parking program. The stuff just arrived and at EWR I get a whopping 10% off of their $14.49/day rate. I can also get a free year of their Express Club program with the same exciting 10% discount. Nothing says that these are combinable, but even if they are it still comes to $11.59 plus the 15% Newark parking tax. No thanks, Avistar.

Corporate parking is still $9.75 all in, so they remain my current choice.

After experiencing Mr. B's once, I shan't be using them again. (Incidentally, I think they are owned by Avistar as my receipt from there said Avistar!)
