Considering the challenge on either AA or US Air so much heartburn though as NWA/DL Gold barring unforseen circumstances I will fly enough to be Plat on one airline for the next 4 years in a row. Going to take test flights on both in the next 2 weeks, been so long I can't remember the pro's and con's of either airline. Delta is starting off on the wrong foot and this could be quite a change for me

Tried a status match for LANPASS both via fax and email - nada success. Anyone has any up-to-date contact details? Thanks

I'm gonna be UA 1K (currently 1P) shortly and was going to be flying an int'l trip with DL/NW this October. I was interested in being able to use their lounges, and the way I see it, you need to be Sky Team Elite Plus...Since DL/NW now only match to Gold instead of Platinum (which is just Sky Team Elite), are there any other Sky Team programs that will match to a Sky Team Elite level?

Thanks! :)

Sent in by post, a week ago,
the copies required by CO status match,
based on current UA 1K.

Today received e-mail confirming match to CO Plat.
That is great, as I will lose 1K next year,
but now be OK for *A. Thanks CO ! ^

NEW Delta Fax #(sorry if redundent)

FYI just got off the phone with Delta and the Fax # to send credentials for status match is 4047731945. This is a different # than the one in the status match masterthread!

Appreciate the updated fax number for Delta.

Is the NWA number unchanged? I haven't heard a peep...

EDIT: Now that's just uncanny! 25 minutes after posting I received an email granting my status match. But it's only through Feb 2010! Which is a bit of a pickle for me now that Delta just announced double miles on all flights if you have a Delta Amex which means crediting the flights to DL and not NW....

Was it not consensus that a July match should be through 2011? Hmm....

I think with the DL Amex, you can register, give both numbers, and have the double miles post to NW. Check the DL forum thread on this topic.

DL sells a 30-day lounge membership for 90 USD.

If it's only one trip (Or all trips within a month's time), I wouldn't burn my one-time match to SkyTeam for that.

Last year, when there were three US-based ST programs, no big deal. With only one left, I'd lean towards keeping that match in my back pocket for the future.

(I have three of those 206 USD CLT-Europe deals, all within 30 days. I don't fly DL/NW often, and when I do, I push the miles towards AS.)

Bummer man. Makes me wonder if I should wait a bit longer and see if my match will go though Feb. 2011, or if NW is only matching through Feb. 2010 because they are almost gonzo.

How long did it take you to get the match for NWA? I faxed my request in on 6/19 and haven't heard anything yet. Probably still early, but I'm getting anxious because I have a Delta flight coming up in a couple weeks.

Status Match -- Aeroplan to Lufthansa Miles&More

Hi, I've been a Lufthansa Senator for several years now, and am moving from Europe to Canada. Has anyone had success getting Aeroplan to status match their Lufthansa Senator status? Thanks! A.
