How about West Palm Beach area in late fall or Winter? About 2.5 hours by road to Orlando and 6 hours to Key West (yes Florida is a long state). Can assure a good establishment here or in the Keys for those so inclined to be VERY laid back. Church goers in Keys go in shorts! I can do arrangements if anyone is interested. Do like the southern CA area too if people are not inclined to come here.
