I will try to accommodate everyone that has sent me email so far.

IF has some decent promotions for $0.02 a mile. Please look at threads on IF subscriptions and promotions. I recently took advantage of the Diners-> BA promotion but donated them to anonymous readers.

Currently, I am topping American and United miles for the entire family (4x15 = 60). I usually use my address book and give out subs to all friends and family. Since FT is another large family, why not donate to FTers who need it.

$0.02 is not such a good deal with the inflation in mileage (CX F SFO-JNB for 140K miles or BA F LHR-DEL or MAA for 150K) for economy travel. I use my miles almost exclusively for F/J travel and find that I am too busy these days for MRs to accumulate miles. The $0.02 per mile that IF offers is still OK for this purpose and for my unique needs. If we could find the time, we would most definitely prefer CAI originating RTW tix instead.

You should try reading on this site a bit..you'll find much of the info you're interested in. Starwood is actually generally the credit card of choice around here, as the points can be exchanged 1:1 for miles on many airlines..does not need to be used on hotels.

This is not right. Starwood requires you to have a paid stay at least once a year in order to keep your points not expired.

On the Starwood board the Lurker says otherwise:

"In order to keep the Starpoints you have from expiring, you have to have a stay transaction posted to your account in a rolling twelve month period of time. A stay transaction is one that originates from one of our participating properties, but points earned from our marketing partners such as AT&T and the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express also are read by the database as being "stay transactions"."

You don't need to post here and bump the thread (sorry for doing it myself). Just send me email. I may acknowledge with a delay but will try to accommodate. If I cannot accommodate within a month, I will let you know. I think I should be able to accommodate everyone so far (crossed 50+ I think) though I have not tallied lately.

I was a bit disappointed with my subscription from last year. I received a whopping 2 whole magazines. The content was great and I did get my 2500 starpoints for subscribing, but getting only 2 magazines in a year makes me not want to resubscribe.

I do not want to sound harsh, but the only person to blame is yourself. You should have contacted them to resolve the matter. The people at IF are great.
