How can you fly to Ankara Turkey for 25K miles?

ANC. I first thought you were talking about Larnaca (LCA) to Ankara (ANK), which can be done for 25k. :D

I didn't think about that. On Cyprus? Hmmm - food for thought.

Nothing non-stop, but there are some award options that could land you an overnight somewhere in the Continent proper to get a quick visit en route to/from ANK.

Did they increase the miles required for 1st class on this trip as well.

BA to Asia

A great award that remains today is the British Airways redemption of 80,000 miles on Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong in business class. This is even better if you're transferring AMEX MR to BA during their recent 1 to 1.5 promotion

I thought it was 50k for NA-Hong Kong in economy, 100k for business, 150k for first class.

And, it works out to a value of about $.05/mile (assuming a $3100 RT B fare SFO-ZRH,) I usually pay $600 RT coach, (though last one was $300 SFO-FRA,) making the 50k miles worth $2500.

But that's got a $350 co-pay on top of the miles, right?

AA is even better, no YQ on it. FYI, this thread is 4.5 years old...

Another good deal? 6000 LAN points for a sub-500km one way redemption- that's only 2400 SPG points (transfer at 2:5 prorated from 20000 point transfer)

JFK-ATL on BA Miles

For any short haul (<650 mi) flight on AA it takes just 4500 Avios (BA Miles).

Business Class to Europe - 25k one way

Flying Blue 25,000 mile one-way North America to Europe in business class promo award. The cities change every two months, but I recently flew Air Europa from Madrid to Miami in business class for 25,000 miles (transferred from Amex Membership Rewards) and ~$100 in fees. Tip: Flying Blue classifies Tel Aviv as a part of Europe, so these promo awards apply to Tel Aviv travel as well.
