December, '99 Itineraries

I don't know if a December one has been started but my gut told me I better book this trip NOW!!! (Even though it's nine months away!!)

26-Dec AA 1395 EWR-DFW 10:22-13:27
31-Dec AA 874 DFW-EWR 09:17-13:40

I promised friends in Queens that I would celebrate New Year's Eve (and my birthday) with them so this Texas trip is going to be a little shorter than usual.

Plus: I want to be close to home when the year changes into the year before the REAL Millenium.

ALL I need now (IF DOABLE) At least one of those sticky upgrade stickers to see if I can fly First on AA (Maybe I can tell reservations it's my birthday which it is!)

AA has nearly phased out the sticky stickers, replacing them with electronic stickers. (Who dials a phone anymore? And phones really don't ring do they. And the cc stands for carbon copy..who has carbon. Got that off my chest...) By December the paper stickers will be gone. Try batting your eyes and smiling.

Catman, obviously you did not get the word about the Millenium. With no sticky-stickers, no phones to dial, no cc's, didn't you know THE WORLD WAS GOING TO END BEFORE THE MILLENIUM! Actually, it would behoove you to stay in Texas for the Millenium, since Texas is not a part of the rest of the world. We have our own world.

OMNI: As I said: the millenium really begins in 2001. Next year is just a nice round and imposing number to do a lot of publicity and overpriced cruises and trips and airline fares and scare tactics around it.

And the world can't end on Dec. 31. It's my birthday and nothing bad can happen on my birthday.

But if I can't get home on 12-31 and the world is indeed ending (HAH!) I may just head to Houston and come to your house JAWS with a case of Shiner Bock and a box of Cuban cigars to share the end with one of my best F-T buddies!

YES! This does not follow the rules of this board but it has some travel elements in it!
