But I'm curious, why would c2it cancel your account? Aren't they glad you're using it? Is there a clause in the T&C against transferring money to yourself? And if so, it should be easy enough to get another account, through your spouse if nothing else.

I occasionally see these too - rare, and almost always on the FIRST balance transfer you make with a NEW card. So, sniff around for a rewards-earning card that you've never carried before and see if there are any applicable promotions going on.

I get balance tranfer offers all the time that come with checks. Could you pay the account with one of those?
