I am not ashamed, but, I don't talk about my MR to family and friends (except one). They will get irate that I did not lend them the money I spend on MR. They think most of my travel is for business but the reverse is true. Even though they are the beneficiaries of several free trips and free hotel stays each year, they'll consider it wasteful. You see my family thinks I waste money since I am not spending it on things like new car, new furniture, parties, etc. Travel is my passion, I enjoy the upgrades to FC and free hotel stays, so I do MR to maintain them.

I am absolutely not ashamed. Sure my coworkers think I'm nuts, but all I have to do is show them how I'm able to book cheap-o fares, get 10% AA discounts, earn upgrades, use the elite checkin/securiy lines, earn 100% mileage bonuses, etc... and while they still don't "get it" per se, they do see some value in it.

A coworker of mine has actually converted to the Dark Side. He's taking the Platinum challenge over the next few weeks. When he completes, I'll go buy him a pint and we can celebrate our shared mileage addiction.

I stopped chasing offers that only give a few hundred miles. not worth the time.
It takes a lot of time just to search for these offers.

I am hoping we can all save each other a lot of valuable time by entering our newly found bonus mile offers into an automated system which organizes them together for everyone to see.
