British Airways is not a US carrierk but so far their web-site says that don't charge a fee. Next DC promo, I will transfer more AA miles to BA.

Delta does not charge change fee as long as the city pair stay the same, also, travel has to be completed with one year of original ticket date. If not, then you can deposit the miles back for a $75 fee if you are Skymile member.

As far as I know another foreign carrier that does not charge for changing dates is Aeromexico, and the redeposit fee is only $25 (sadly, I've now done this twice in the past five years to avoid my dormant miles from expiring after three years).

And with purchased tickets, you run the risk of it becoming valueless. If you miss a flight that is an award flight, does it also lose its value? If you miss your outgoing flight, do you lose your miles? Can you redeposit them? or just pay the $100 for another flight? Next flight or next flight that has an award seat, or any seat?
