Actually, they are OK because they are not Amazon.com affiliates but rather Amazon.co.uk affiliates - seems Amazon treats its international sites more liberally.

Heres another relevant section from the Amazon.com (US) associate site:

"Associates may donate their earnings to a charity, but may not announce to their visitors in any way that a portion or all of the proceeds will go to a particular charity."

If you look at Andrews site, Trolley Cash from the UK will give a 2% cash back for Amazon and in reading the fine print is good for anyone worldwide. Maybe a conga opp.
Also for Ebay mentioned above, Bondrewards gives in savings bonds 39% of the sellers fees. I have cashed out $150 in savings bonds in a year from them.

I never buy anything without checking rewardsdb and Pgarys site.

I spend quite a bit at Amazon and have yet to find a really decent mileage/rebate opportunity. But I'll gladly take the 20-30% savings (on average) for most products plus free shipping plus no sales tax or VAT (which runs 8.5% here) in lieu of a few depreciating miles. :cool:

If it's books you're after, I find that often buy.com beats Amazon by a few cents or better. Unlike Amazon, buy.com is available through many points- or miles-earning portals. Sometimes, even other items are cheaper through buy.com.

Amazon does actually partner with some rewards programs, just not any of the limited number listed on that site - you can see a far more comprehensive list of rewards program offerings via RewardsDB which includes many more rewards programs (and indirect mileage earning opportunities) including non-US programs.
