Does anyone use emiles.com?

I just heard of this site through a mailing from Delta. Does anyone use this site? Is it legit? How good is it?

Thanks!
Mikey

I answer the surveys, they are pretty quick. have not gotten the 500 miles yet, i am up to 530.whoopie.

cordelli May 6, 2007 6:43 am

They are good, if you get the good surveys. There's much more discussion about them in the SPAM area.

At the Freddies some of the people were saying they hit 500 in no time and they posted, others like me seem to have been hitting drier times as it go to 480 points or whatever.

devriesryan04 May 6, 2007 9:46 am

500... huh? what?

How is it that some of you have 500 miles already, I am stuck at like 320! Where are these surveys coming from. I need the miles for the 25,000 mile promotion from Delta!

Thanks

JudyJFLA May 6, 2007 10:26 am

They go by quarters and the next one ends june 30th, so it would not count for Delta's promo...... Make sure to check out the discussion on the Delta forum I am now at 12 activities, Mom is at 8 for it.....

My first 500 miles posted on May 4th.

westlaker May 6, 2007 7:07 pm

Still waiting for 500 miles.

GoCanes May 6, 2007 8:05 pm

I hit 500 miles a couple weeks ago, but if you read the fine print, they only post quarterly. So, wherever you are at the end of a quarter, determines the eligible miles. I think the first quarter ended March and the next quarter end at the end of June.

Marathon Man May 7, 2007 5:53 am

Check the thread in post mentioned earlier in this thread, but below is my thinking on this whole thing.

I set mine up to get miles on NWA. Got to 495 points by the end of first Q so have to wait til June for mine to post. Dont know if anyone with NWA got their miles yet but it seems legit after all because others said the 500 cam to them.

I personally do not like to do anything with these types of sites except get the 5 points. Like with MyPoints, I rarely would do any of the activities and be teased by the 20 or 50 or even 100 point promisses because of two things:

1) now you've signed up for something and this turns into more SPAM. Oh ok it's some non business email address you are using, but still, it's something else to deal with. Those little buggers add up and I have enough of them already, don't you? Don't tell me you don't. I don't believe you if you do. (It's like when people claim they have only one password for every account they own online. NOT possible. That's something I don't believe either!)

2) you need to rely on and wait for the points from some obscure 3rd party partner and it's so little it's hardly worth chasing, but it still gets me miffed when I did sign up for X to get say 50 points and nothing comes of it. With Mypoints, I am often searching for the fax or phone number and have to keep the same sort of printed records that I would if I were missing say 5,000 miles from some airline promo I am waiting for. You need to pick you battles. I am learning more about this every day. :D

Nevertheless, these emile 5-point offers have been coming thru and they do credit the minute you do the tiny 3 question button survey that they give you with whatever ad or service they are talking about. You can get emails that tell you there are offers in your account, or you can log in on your own and often times they will be there without notice. I always say "yes I am interested in seeing ads about this product or service in emiles again" even if I am not. It IS worth 5points after all for me and for you!

I got to pass 500 (am at like 530 now) just into April and so I will wait til June. May not deal with this one too much but it is a good way to keep an airline account alive and hey, if it's no real work or stress, then it's worth it to do it.

So that's my logic. Good luck!
:)MM

I use it. Hit 505 (or 530?) miles in the first quarter, my 500 miles posted within a couple of days. Am back up to 195 now.

Dovster May 7, 2007 11:24 am

I reached 535 a few days ago and imagine I will have to wait until the end of June for them to be posted to my Delta account.

roadtripman May 7, 2007 12:37 pm

I recieved my NWA miles on the first day of the new quarter (April 1).

E-miles is quick and easy and a brainless way to get a couple miles every now and then. Every survey is in the same format (3 questions) and takes literally 20 seconds to complete one. Cheap on the miles, but easy enough.

I'm with those who hit the 500 but waiting for them to get posted, but with the success stories I read here I guess it is just a question of time for them to post.

Mandafly May 8, 2007 9:03 am

I'm at 465, earning for Continental rather randomly. I was going to change the linked FF program to one I have more miles on, but from what I can understand of the rules, I would lose the miles not already transferred. Since that was about 400 miles of rather boring clicking, I'm going to wait until I hit 500, then switch.

devriesryan04, are you trying to figure out how to sign up? The link for Continental is here: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...er/emiles.aspx . Presumably other FF programs have the link in their list of partners too.

Kiwi Flyer May 8, 2007 4:22 pm

Very slow the past month. I won't get close to earning a second 500 miles for this quarter.

xtroverted May 8, 2007 4:51 pm

I hit my 500 mark today!

It's pretty easy. Take a survey, earn some points. :)

Don't remember the exact amount, but earned about 300 miles during the sign up process (bonuses, completing profile, etc.).

Travlynn May 8, 2007 7:31 pm

E-miles is one of the "something for nothing" sites; you get the occasional chance to get a few points for reading ads. It's relatively effortless, and when you get enough points to reach 500, 500 miles will be posted at the beginning of the next quarter to your chosen airline program.

I never count on these kind of miles, so it's always a surprise when indeed they show up in a FF account.

I was truly surprised to reach 500 e-mile points just before the end of March; they posted to my Delta acc't on April 1st, where wonder of wonders, they apparently will count as a "unique partner", worth an additional 1000 points(when 4 other unique partners also post)

dukenilnil May 8, 2007 8:13 pm

Use it, not too bad. Seem to never qualify for the larger points opportunity on the surveys though.

Tulane7 May 14, 2007 7:14 pm

so far i've gotten 600 miles although they haven't been posted into my onepass account yet

Kiwi Flyer May 14, 2007 9:24 pm

Welcome to Flyer Talk Tulane :)

If you only passed 500 miles after 31 March then nothing will be credited until after the end of June. Miles post in 500 mile increments after the end of each quarter.

peezers May 17, 2007 9:56 pm

received my NW miles in April - not a lot of earning opps though

Samiam May 18, 2007 11:00 pm

same w/ the NWA miles - posted my 500 miles in April

May not be a lot of earning opps but sure is better than a sharp stick in the eye. It took me a little over 1 min to go through their last email and netted 45 miles; however, did not hit 500 before for the quarterly cut off so lost that option for my Delta Bonus. Riding at 720 miles right now.

shukris May 25, 2007 12:34 am

465 here. Sometimes they have 55-mile earning opportunities. Sporadic though. But hey, free miles are always good.

BigLar May 25, 2007 8:52 am

I've been "invited" from NW, US, and Hilton. Can I sign up for all three and triple the "opportunities"? I don't mind clicking a few things every now and then, and if nothing else it helps keep one's account alive.
