In my travels I have met many celebrities and appreciate the fact that they deserve their privacy.

When seated next to one, I will generally make one innocouos remark. That response generally dictates what happens next. I have had a supreme diva http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif scowl/yell at me. Alternatively, I have had another person tell me enough stuff that if I sold it to People magazine I could retire!

Just be yourself and see what happens!

What? On my way back from the Oregon Brewers Festival FT Gathering the last weekend of July, I sat next to Beckles on my SEA-PIT flight and then sat next to Nell Carter (singer and "star" of some show with a name I can never remember) on the 757 from PIT-DCA. We were in 1-A and C. She was on her way to sing for "W" Bush at the White House that day. She asked where I was going and I said I had been at a beer festival all weekend and was going home to sleep. I think I found that more ammusing than she did. Anyway, the other night I saw part of her "performance" on a PBS broadcast. Let's just say I don't think I'll be buying the CD. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

A few weeks ago I sat next to Chris Collingsworth (Cincy Bengals WR) in FC on the way from ATL to CVG.

He was actually pretty nice and didn't have the arrogant swaggar that he does on TV. He was reading Terry Bradshaw's new book and then was preparing commentary for the upcoming NFL games that weekend.

I saw Alicia Keys aboard AA 44 from JFK to CDG in Business on Oct 21st and I was seating next to one of her bandmembers was talked to him about the upcoming European tour which was very interesting!

Well none of my sightings have been on flights but anyways here goes...

Bianca Jagger (Mick Jaggers exwife) at the Picasso Museaum in Barcelona in 1990

Morgan Freeman sat next to me at a San Juan, PR restaurant, my friendīs husband went to him asked to say hi to my friend, he came over gave her a kiss and was very friendly. This was last year while making a movie on the island.

Lilly Tomlin on 5th Ave sidewalk in New York, and Armand Asante (Mombo Kings) at a cafeteria also in New York this year.

maybe not 'celebs' so-to-speak, but I was on a commuter headed to ORD with the entire cast of Real World New Orleans...they were in town at a local university giving a talk or something...they played up being superstarts probably more than a 'real star' and I don't think anyone on the plane could have cared less...

Jessye Norman on a flight in first class from LGA to ORD. I told her I very much enjoyed her singing and then left her alone. When the plane landed, I stepped aside to allow her to deplane first. As she swept by me, she bestowed a sunny "Bless You!" on me. Also sat in first behind Hal Holbrook and his wife Dixie Carter. And I sat behind Tony Robinson, who was fighting with the woman he was sitting with. Finally, sat in first with Glenn Campbell. Oh yes, I also sat in first behind Eydie Gorme and her husband Steve Lawrence - I think that's his name. Oh, and in first with Jay Leno. Gee, more than I thought!

Zombie,

I would have offered Glen Sather to exchange seats. I'm sure they would have been very appreciative of that offer and who knows they may have seen to it that you got a couple of tickets to a future game.

LAX-ORD, I sat across from John Cusack in F, very tall & very cute. He was a big eater---asked the FA for a second lunch & got it.
LAX-DFW--Magic Johnson & the Mrs.
I've seen many celebs in restaurants here in LA but the best was a Beatle!!! Ringo at the Ivy--my least favorite one, but a Beatle nonetheless. Oh yeah, also saw my role model---Lucille Ball at Nicky Blairs.

Pat Boone (sans leather) on a SNA-SEA flight. Pat was very nice (and very tan) and slept the whole flight. MC Hammer on a PDX-ONT flight, he was nice also.

David Duchovny on a LAX-YVR flight. Very nice as well.

Nothing juicy to pass along about any of them...... sorry.

Last year, I was waiting for a flight in the AA terminal at LAX when Willie Brown (Mayor of San Francisco) deplaned. There was a chauffeur standing in front of me holding a sign that said "Mr. Brown," but it was clear that he had no idea who his passenger when the Mayor approached him. It was pretty funny... Mayor Brown just acted like any other road warrior meeting his airport pick-up and off they went.

Saw Jose Canseco on a little USAir commuter plane once. Everybody was asking for his autograph (which he quite rudely brushed off). I had to ask my seatmate who he was, not being a baseball fan.

Morgan Freeman (Driving Miss Daisy)was in F on a transatlantic I was on.

Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi regularly, they live in town.

Geraldo Rivera, Maury Povixh and Connie Chung. Maury sat behind me at the movies, and kept kicking my chair. I had to turn and give him the "stare" ...it worked.
