Apparently the Spa Certificates are accepted all over the country and do not expire (per FTD CS agent).
That actually makes for an intruiging way to BUY CP and get 100,000 miles. These would make great gifts over the next couple years. I may be rethinking my switch to Delta for 2007. |

No one has mentioned the possibility of being "gifted" with 3P or 2P MileagePlus status on UA. And sometimes the "gifting" amounts to "buying" (actually "bartering") that status.
And if one maxes the benefits of the UA Platinum Visa card so as to get all of the 15K of EQM, there is the opportunity to buy more EQM for "Choices," though doing it that way makes them very expensive. |
I just found out that if you charge 30K per year on SPG Amex you will be upgraded to SPG Gold Status.

I just had 100,000 points posted to my USAirways account. I am now Chairman status, highest level offered, without flying a single flight.
I bought $5,000 worth of certificates and earned 20 Points per dollar. This works out well for me, because I can use these in my business. Pretty incredible promotion!! |

Unfortunately, I couldn't just say order 10 certs and send it to my address as it wanted me to enter in recipient information for each :( . So I manually :rolleyes: added 10 certs in. Then, I went to check out and then found out that FTD.COM wanted to charge me 10.99 delivery for each item. :mad: How did you get around this stupid interface??? :confused: ... and did you have to pay 10.99 for each cert you bought? |

. trust me I know, I am a lifetime gold. IMO, it's a disincententive to fly AA. I want to maintain my bottom level tier on Sky Team. AA I can take for granted. What are you looking to do, what is more important to you? 1-"lifetime" vested status? 2-Immediate status on AA hopefully renewable each year 3- Are you very partial to AA? howabout CO,DL, US would these work? 4- what is your home airport? typical trip, flying patterns? 5-How many trips and Flight miles and segments a year? if you respond to this, I'll try to be of more help. welcome to FT. |
