BA British Airways Executive Club also has a 36-month expiration.
And a couple of corrections: Midwest Express' code is YX. AS is Alaska Airlines (not Alaskan). |

Af/klm
Great idea--this sort of thing is long overdue.
I might add that as far as I know, AF/KLM Flying Blue's policy is that activity extends validity for another three years. Though, I'm not sure if that's just flight activity or any earning/spending. Would be good if this could be confirmed by someone though. |
Virgin
VS also--no expiry if activity within three years.

In 2003, I used Worldperks miles that were earned in 1989 and 1990.
Well, that isn't entirely accurate. I earned some more when I flew on CO in 2001 - but even so, that was 11 years between earning new points. The punchline is that NW didn't gobble my points. |
The intent of this thread (and the US one) is to show current mileage expiry policies and rules. It is no consolation that last year (or any date) there was a rule that had no expiry, if now miles can expire.

BMI has no expiration rule, but a termination rule, though it seems that this rule is not enforced:
Members who have not recorded any activity with bmi, its diamond club partners, or made a redemption with the same parties and other promotional third parties, for a 12 month period, from the date of their last recorded activity on the diamond club database, shall be deemed dormant. If no claim is made on any residual Destination Miles on that member's account, membership may be terminated after a further 12 months and all remaining miles forfaited. |
I just flew YYZ-LIM on CO. Looking back on my e-statements, it was my first flight deposited to OnePass in two years, yet my miles haven't been deleted. My dad's One Pass account has been inactive ever since Feb 2004 yet the miles are still there. I'm glad that CO isn't deleting miles, makes it more likely for me to fly them. How strictly are these timelines really enforced?
Not that anyone cares since they're bankrupt, but on RG (Varig) you can also extend your miles for a fee. |
