OP updated for Air Canada changes.

Geese Howard Oct 25, 2006 12:16 am

KE Korean Air, just like OZ, no expiry at all.

kaka Oct 25, 2006 12:28 am

CX Asiamiles: 3-4 years for each block of miles you've earn on that debiting year regardless to activity.

jarino Oct 25, 2006 3:12 am

Reading the small print of Flying Blue I found out that they require an accrual of status (level) miles within 36 months, not only any activity like many others.

After a period of 36 months with no accrual of Level Miles by a Member, the Company reserves the right to cancel the Award Miles. It is up to the Member to check the expiration date of his Miles. After a period of 36 months of no accrual of Award Miles by a Member, the Company reserves the right to unilaterally terminate membership.

Thanks Geese Howard, kaka and jarino

Stilll not correct for JetBlue. As mentioned before, it "expires for some", not all. (Doesn't expire for those with their AmEx card.)

SU Aeroflot Miles expire after 36 months if no FLIGHT.
Activity based would be absurd as they give you one each year for you birthday.

Which, just to clarify, means any SkyTeam flight or miles earned on the AMEX AF card (the latter for French residents only).

GF Gulf Air

Credited Miles will be automatically converted to Redemption Units at a rate of 1 unit for 3.000 miles. Redemption Units will be valid for 10 years from the date of issue regardless of activity or membership level.

Not sure what happens to the remaining miles <3.000 after the converting is done but i guess that they will not expire.

I would post Taca but I don't think they even know what their own rules are.

SA:
Miles expire on the 31/3 of the fourth year after the year in which they were earned. (so miles earned in 2006 expire on 31/3/2010).
A one year rollover if you fly at least 5000 'tier miles' OR spend R40000 per annum on the Voyager credit card.

Expires if no flight for 3 years.

Just to clarify: SU miles expire after 3 years without any miles-earning flights OR credit card earning. Co-branded cards are only available in Russia, though

Thanks. First 2 posts updated (also for changes at UA Mileage Plus).

This says they reserve the right...but does have they actually ever cancelled someone's miles if their account shows some kind of non-flight activity?

Malaysia Airlines Enrich

Expiry: Enrich Miles are valid for three years plus the year in which they were earned. (For Platinum member they do not expire)

Extension: Enrich Miles can be extended once for a period of 1 year (Fee applies)
