family,

the topic is long distance service. everyone knows that you pay fees anytime you use a payphone. that applies to any company.

Thanks for the suggestion, but no, it was just a straight voice call. It was kicking me out after about every two minutes, and then letting me reconnect. It was a peak calling period though, and a rather "out of the way" country; I'll report back once I've tried more countries and calling periods.

BTW Cordelli, this brings about an interesting issue: would OneSuite work for modem calls?

It costs a couple bucks a month, but I had my long distance service disconnected. 800 numbers still work, otherwise I use a Sam's Club/AT&T card. I make a LOT less calls.

In the US I have had good luck wiht it with a few more disconnects then I would normally get, haven't tried it overseas. Don't count on much more then 28.8 most of the time though.
