Flytime, it would be helpful to others if you specified the topic of your post where the posting screen says "Topic."
When people see "check it out" they immediately think "oh-oh, another teenager", or "this guy is really lame" or "I can skip this, it's an advertisement".
If you really have something to say about travel, tip us off in your topic, or you'll lose your audience big-time. (And if it's about United Airlines, you'll get a more enthusiastic audience by posting to the United forum!)

Welcome onboard, flytime 35..
I am familiar with this site and I agree that it is interesting and "eye-opening". However, for future reference, I suggest you to post this under the UNITED or GENERAL TALK forum in order to cater to the right audience properly.
Personally I do not think that posting in the wrong forum is a "big deal", specially for a first-timer. As you get familiar with this site, you will find that it contains a wealth of knowledge thanks to the contribution of "seasoned" frequent travelers and hopefully you can avail of their advice and expertise. Again, welcome and thanks for sharing this with us.

Welcome to the boards.
essxjay, I can tell I like you because of your spunky style.
I'm from Brooklyn and I know somewhere back in time that you must have some Brooklyn blood in you.

You would have had a great time on the Brooklyn tour at the Catman Do. Sorry you couldn't make it to NY.
Regards,
Dan
