I have always loved jingles, and thought the old AA one was great.

"We're American Airlines, Doing What We Do Best" and then "We're AA... Something Special in the Air" used the same theme song.

There's a jingle no one's mentioned yet:

"We give you half the world, on Northwest Orient (cymbal clash) Airlines."

Only reason I remember it is because of the unique jingle. <g>

The 'bird' that voiced Western's "The OOONLY Way to Fly" was catchy too, in it's day.

IIRC the Continental "We really move our tail for you" was the fourth line in a jingle which I think went something like this. I cannot recall anything about the first line, but it had words also, not just humming:

"Da da da DUM da da da DUM
It shows in everything we do
At Continental Airlines
We really move our tail for you."

II also RC, Continental dropped the slogan because its female flight attendants complained that passengers (sometimes drunk, always male) would lecherously ask them to "move their tail."
