LAX-SVO cheap cheap cheap!

Travelocity is showing fares from Los Angeles to Moscow for as little as $283 roundtrip! Granted, its on Aeroflot, but the flights are on Boeing equipment . . . so if you are feeling lucky . . .

How I dearly wish I was not here . . . .

I can't get them to "price out" right in the end. Maybe this is some kind of technical glitch. I've got to get back to work, but maybe someone with a bit more time can figure out a workable solution . . .

According to the fare rules, "SURCHG OF USD 500.00 PER ADT AND USD 116.52 PER CHD AND USD 15.53 PER INF APPLIES IN EACH DIRECTION."

Holy Cow! I have NEVER heard of such a "surcharge!" Has anyone else? This makes fuel surcharges and $100 change fees seem like chump change!

I always felt everyone should visit Russia at least once in their lifetime. Especially during the cold war for a rude awakening.

Since I have done my one visit to Russia, I will pass on this even if it is free!

eastwest -- It's one of those database input mistakes, not unlike that $20-something United fare SFO-CDG. That surcharge is supposed to be $5.00, and other airlines charge it on the same route. Someone putting the fare into the system forgot that litle dot, and innocent five bucks instantly became $500...
