Ameritrade: Multiple (but Different) Offers OK?

Ameritrade has various promotions for opening a new account, several with airlines for frequent flier miles and one with starwood for starpoints. If you've previously opened a new account and received the Starwood offer, for instance, can you open another new account with the same registration and receive an offer for airline miles? Has anyone done this or tried?

I remember checking on this earlier and the fine print said "one offer per client" or something like that. You could take the position, perhaps, that what you're proposing involves different offers. But the bigger issue may be that it's my understanding that you can't have more than one of the same account type (joint brokerage account, for example) under the same registration information.

I've successfully gotten accurate responses from Ameritrade customer service using email, so you might want to ask directly.

only supposed to get one bonus per customer, not per account. I got a second by opening a jt acct with my wife, but was told that used up her 1 bonus.

From our experience it is possible to get one bonus for each spouse and one for a joint account. Three in total.
