BA & Olympic

The Times (London) is today reporting that BA is in negotiation with the Greek government to buy 20% of Olympic, offer service advice to the airline, codesharing and join OneWorld (when they get there act together).

It looks like BA is pretty busy trying to buy stakes in just about anyone at the moment - too much money in the bank I think!

Maybe the great B-A is trying to get shares
in many European carriers because:

1. B-A wants to live up to the title of being a key member of "ONEWorld."

2. To save those airlines from the clutches
of Sir Richard.

3. B-A is the world's favourite airline so it
can do just about anything it wants.

If B-A has extra cash they might consider buying some of those Eastern European carriers and overhaul them. I know one airline in Russia in particular that needs an overhaul! (I have not flown them... I've just heard some horror stories!) CATMAN

I've flown them. The horror stories are true, especially internally. Internationally, they're about the equivalent of Greyhound (as a Trailways driver might say, "That dog has fleas."

Never rode Greyhound but have heard some
wild and horrible and crazy stories about that too.

This could also make a great short story collection like the one I hope you guys get together about airlines now grounded and other flying adventures.

Leave the driving to Greyhound???? I'd rather fly southwest! CATMAN
