TWA and LatinPass Credit:
I just talked to the mileage desk for TWA (800-325-4815)and they said that the LatinPass program comes up showing 5-6 different airlines and they needed a 2 letter code for LatinPass. The rep then talked to his super and the training dept and they determined that LatinPass should be entered as LP and your number. They would then adjust the miles or credit to LatinPass. I hope this does not take many phone calls as LP also shows up as "LanPeru". TWA said since LP is rarely used that it was being now used for LatinPass. They also suggested saving all flight receipts and boarding passes. Also hope it doesn't take years to get finalized! |

Hello all!
I am a new member at Flyertalk and wanted to thank everyone for all the valuable information they have shared. I am currently planning the 500,000 trip for my husband and I in June. We have booked (but not purchased): SF-Miami on National Miami -CCS on Aeropostal CCS-PTY on Copa PTY -SJ on Lasca SJ-GUAT on Aviateca GUAT - MNG on Taca MNG-Miami on Taca (for Nica) Miami - SF on National The whole thing comes out to approx $1900 each ($1600 for just the member airline flights). I was thinking it would be closer to $1300 for the member airline segments. I priced the tickets through a travel agent and on travelocity. It seems that other LPers got a much better deal. Any tips? |
HetaMiles:
Our trip cost about $1,300, booked on Expedia using the multiple segment option. Two tickets were purchased: MIA-SAL SAL-GUA GUA-SJO SJO-BOG BOG-CCS and CCS-MIA It may be your routing or Travelocity. Give Expedia a try. Evan Bend, Oregon |

In a recent post, you said to make sure your "LP account information has been correctly inputed into your PNR(s) before you go." What are PNR(s)? Thanks. |
A question for others.
Was booked to fly BOG-UIO-LIM (two flight coupons) on 21-Apr. Showed up at BOG airport and Aces had cancelled the flights due to low demand (at least they were honest with me). They offered to put reprotect me nonstop the same day on Avianca (I had arrived in BOG on AV, so I didnīt need the segment) OR to overnight me in BOG and then put me on the same Aces flights on 22-Apr. I tried calling LatinPass to confirm that the Aces (and Saeta) segments would be credited if Aces cancelled and endorsed to someone else. No one answered at LatinPass (5pm EDT on Friday 4-22 .. closed for Good Friday?) and didnīt want to risk not getting the credit, so took the Aces flights the next day. Anyone know what LatinPassī policy is or have experience re: credit for cancelled flights? FYI, really glad I spent the night in BOG. Really great place and didn't feel threatened in the least bit. Was expecting lots of military at the airport, etc. but saw no sign of them (OK, maybe I should have been nervous that they DIDN'T have a greater presence.) |
A PNR is a "passenger name/record". A completed PNR contains a passenger name(s), who made the reservation, flight numbers, phone number and when the reservation has to be ticketed. Once this is complete, airlines will assinge their own record locator to the PNR. A PNR will also contain the entire history of any changes made, ticket numbers and other misc items (FF account numbers, special needs/meals etc etc).

SFO - Most FF programs will only credit you for acrual flight flown and only for the class purchased. This means that if you bought a Y class ticket and you flew F class you only get credit for Y class. Likewise, if you booked on ACES and you were "Endorsed" over to Avianca then this amounts to a transfer of ownership and the likelihood of getting credit for ACES on a Avianca flight would be slim. But then again since they are both LatinPass members, they would probably wonder what all the fuss was about (of course to you it is worth 1 million miles) but to them, as far as they are concerned, you were credited for Avianca. Get my drift?
I hope all goes well. and I am wrong about this. |
SFO - since you took the ACES flight anyway - you should have no problem getting the credit.

I'm planning my 1M mile trip, leaving MIA on 12 may, and down to LIM. When I try to book the MIA-MGA degment on Travelociy I the YUP fare, showing as Business class, with fare code D. Does anyone know whether this is acceptable for the promotion
Thanks |
HETAMILES--Welcome. Looks like you will be traveling on the same itinerary as we had planned and I posted. What dates are you doing yours? We are traveling June 9 MIA to CCS and finishing with the MGA to MIA on Jun 12.
