Oh, and Re: clickciti card, look at http://www.citibank.com/us/cards/ (you obviously won't get it before 3/31.)

steve100 Mar 26, 2000 7:49 am

Here is the link to take you right to the ClickCiti information. It is basically a Mastercard, with no magnetic strip on it, so it can only be used for Internet Purchases or Phone/Mail order purchases. They are offering double miles for all purchases until 5/31. The card is free is you have a regular Citibank AAdvantage Card.

This card has nothing to do with the Wildlife promotion. I just use it for on-line purchases because it gives me double miles. This card has been discussed in exhaustive detail on other threads.

Donated $500+ on Saturday, miles posted to Clickrewards account at noon Monday, redeemed 10K to Starwood Monday afternoon. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Boy, we FF'ing FT'er's are a very "generous" lot! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Note, however, that this promo appears to have somewhat abruptly ended! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Ken:
Responding to below, yes of course you can continue to donate but there really lucrative portion has come to a close. So, no more of "if I dontated $500 using my AAdvantage ClickCiti MasterCard, I would get 1,000 miles from AAdvantage, and I would get 20,000 clickpoints. Then, I can convert 20,000 ClickPoints to 30,000 Starwood points with the promotion.

Reading my DL newsletter yesterday something struck me:

Earn triple miles with ClickRewards.™
Sign up now for a free ClickRewards account at www.ClickRewards.com/deltatriple00 and you'll earn triple miles on all qualifying online purchases from February 1 to May 15, 2000. ClickRewards is the only online program that rewards you with frequent flyer miles for shopping online at top Web sites such as CDNOW, barnesandnoble.com, PCWorld, Banana Republic and KoB Kids.

If you go to the website it says the offer expires tomorrow though ... but if you get this for the WWF promo ... that would be 60,000 Clickpoints for a $500 donation ... WOW! That's enough for a First Class ticket to Hawaii! The exclusions don't mention the WWF ... so ... WOW!

JeffLewis2 Mar 31, 2000 12:26 pm

Beckles:

I called CS and they said it would be a triple of the $500 donation. Total 1500.

Jeff

Beckles:

Just called back and had Jodi (told here to remember this and she said she's the only Jodi) as CS check with the WWF rep (right there) and it IS triple the miles that you earn!

Beckles Mar 31, 2000 1:15 pm

Like I said ... WOW ... note that the offer is only available for new enrollees of clickrewards ...

Can the triple Clickrewards points be used for Delta skymiles? The link for the triple miles promotion from Delta seems to indicate that certain Clickrewards points are not eligible for Skymiles.

Also, would donating today get triple the miles on account of up to 3 days to post to account?

JeffLewis2 Mar 31, 2000 4:37 pm

Yes, you will get the triple. Even if the posting is late. It is by the date purchased. CR Cservice said that you might need to call and have them manually triple them.

venkat Mar 31, 2000 6:29 pm

you cannot convert clickmiles earned through compubank into delta skymiles. I was trying to transfer a few hundred miles to delta and it would never go through.

The reason I was given(by a clickrewards rep) was because of Delta's partnership with ETrade. I'm not sure how Etrade is competeing with compubank. Also I'm not sure how they findout which of the clickmiles is from compubank and which is not.

Can you sign up through the Delta promotion, get the triple miles, and then convert them to FF miles with another airline? Or for that matter, does anyone know if they can even be converted with Delta (those earned through Compubank apparently cannot be)?

If you really want to convert the Compubank clickmiles to Delta, all you have to do is funnel them through Starwood first.

Beckles Mar 31, 2000 9:25 pm

The Clickrewards points do not have to be converted to Delta ...
