Just a question needing info
So I have a question and fully understand that I may get backlash. I am a single mom of a gymnast. I work two jobs so that she may pursue her passion. Gymnastics is extremely expensive for the average family. With the costs of Leo’s warm ups shoes tuition fees meet free travel lodging etc can get stressful. But as a parent I feel I must always give her a opportunity to do what she loves. Cheaper than bail money legal fees etc should she use idle time to get into mischief at least that is my reasoning for keeping her busy. In gym she has learn so much about being a team member, accountability self confidence and setting goals and achieving them. She’s faced some pretty big achievements and tackled them head on and came out a winner and lost some as well. Losing pushes her harder but still maintains being just a 11 yr girl loving life. She was on the AAU state team this year and since has moved up to USA GYMNASTICS on the Xcel Gold team for this Upcoming season. And with that comes a whole new meet schedule. This new schedules takes us out of Oklahoma clear to Knoxville, southern Texas, Iowa and Nebraska with new meet fees that are much higher than last year. Those I can handle the travel is a little trickier on me with only one income so my question is this is there a way that you can get donated frequent flyer miles or apply for donated frequent flyer miles for just two of these meets out of the 11 that will just financially put me back. I understand this isn’t a life-threatening disease or illness that she would need these for and by all means I think that those kids should always receive first before mine and is not equally as important when it comes down to it but this program has really taken my daughter to different levels in her life that she didn’t know existed different abilities different skills that she just realized she didn’t have that now she does and I’m so proud of her and I’m proud of you for the lessons She has learned in the confidence has brought her and I see great things for her in the future and hopefully a scholarship so she can get a education and be the best person she can be both professionally and personally all I wish for my kids. I ask they do something they love they are successful and that they’re going to heaven. We do several fundraisers a year to help fray some of the cost of our upcoming season but the travel expenses are all up to us…. really all of it’s all up to us but we don’t fundraiser so much for the travel expenses so is there any programs out there that you can buy can lead me to where I can see about getting donated miles?

Welcome to FlyerTalk!
I can't help you with donated frequent-flyer miles, but how much of your monthly expenses could you charge to a credit card? If you are credit-worthy, you might be able to get enough miles from a sign-up bonus to cover a couple of roundtrips -- depending on whether you can charge roughly $1,000/month.
Also, the Barclays "Aviator" Red credit card currently awards 60,000 American Airlines miles after just one purchase of any amount, but the card has a $99 annual fee. However, Barclays occasionally has an offer which waives the $99 annual fee for the first year. Here's the application site:
https://www.applyaviator.com/
There are lots of different credit cards out there that offer sign-up bonuses which can be used for travel on a variety of airlines.
Many airline-specific credit cards also give the cardholder and travel companions a free checked bag, as well as higher boarding priority, if either of those things is useful to you.
Just a word of caution: These cards tend to have pretty high interest rates on carried balances. So only consider getting such a card if you can regularly pay your credit-card bill in full each and every month.
Good luck!

If you are struggling to make ends meet I would strongly advise not getting a credit card. Best stick to a gofundme page - and using FB and similar to ask for miles, hotel points, discount certificates, two for ones, and similar.

I’m not struggling to make ends meet. I do okay with all the gymnastics fees and paying all my bills and mortgage. It’s the new travel this year with her new meet schedule that has me stressed. A friend suggested this forum to ask for info on getting miles donated for the two furthest trips (11 hrs and 10 hrs from where we live). I’m sorry if I came across as struggling. I used needed advice on getting miles! And yes I agree with you on the credit card. I am a pretty responsible gal. My dad always told me to not live beyond my means. I try and live by that!! Thank you for your suggestions! I truly appreciate it!

I’m sorry if I come across as struggling to make ends meet. I am not. I work two jobs as a single parent and make enough to pay my bills and mortgage and her gym fees, tuition, Leo and warmup ups. I only came here to ask for info about maybe getting ff likes donated to two meets that bc are 11 hrs away from our home. A friend suggested this site thinking I could get pointed in the right direction. I’m sorry if I was misleading. I am stressed about this meets because they are so far away and plans tickets are $600 ish per person.

If you can pay your bill in full every month without issue - credit card bonuses and two for one coupons can be very useful. Ideally go for a card that you can use to pay for travel or transfer to an airline program. A hotel card that gives you a free night and points can also be good value. It would very much depend on where you think you'll need to travel.

I don't think you are likely to have frequent flyer miles donated for this cause here, although I suppose it's worth a try. There are programs that do donate miles, but as you imply, they're for children who are sick. I know you point out in your post that you wouldn't want your daughter to come ahead of them, but imagine reading this as the parent of a child afflicted with a serious disease.
As others have suggested, this sort of cause is exactly what GoFundMe and sites of that ilk are for.
