More annoying people!!
These people just keep on coming.
On a recent flight I was on: A group of 4 people in J class, there were apparantly from the same company, they seat themselves in 4 different row on the aisle seat. Row 2, Row 3, Row 3, Row 4... They were not upgraded as I had a look at the passenger list. * They were having cross aisle conversation the whole trip. Very loud conversation too. Why not seat yourself together and there were lots of together seats up til checkin. I think they were hoping to grab all 2 J seats by themselves which they were unsuccessful. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif * One of the guy took out his Laptop during taxi and attempt to use it..he was spotted by a FA who asked him to stop. He was an elite, so he obviously know he wasn't suppose to do that. Is he really that desperate to show off his new DELL Laptop or what? * They were passing their laptop and documents around cross aisle throughout which is very distracting to some other passenger. * One of the guy kept on reading his "newspaper clippings" even when the FA was serving his meal to his seatmate, he ignore the FA and didn't attempt to stop reading to clear some room so the FA have reach across him to place the dish for his seatmate. The FA almost spill the whole dish on him...I wish she did. Is he trying to prove to everyone that he is a HARD WORKER?? Who cares I mean... These people just never stop showing up...! Regards, Empress |
They really need some type of rules against rude or obnoxious behavior. Maybe part of the announcement...
"Also, please remember that we are all sharing this small space for the next X hours. As such, please refrain from loud conversations and be courtereous to your neighbors. A reminder, for safety reasons, your are obligated to follow all flight attendants directives. Thank you for Flying Courteous Airlines, we know you have a choice of airlines, and we are committed to make your experience the best possible" |
I would just use the B-777 ejection seat. (Was there a thread about this already?) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Rich, they've given you another chance to put your picture here... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Several years ago I was sat in row 16 upstairs on a 747-400 of Uniteds from SYD to SFO. In the seat next to me and in the seats behind were three executives from a certain juice company.
The chatted the whole 14 hours ( over the seat back, held meetings in the exit row), all whilst I tried to sleep. We Brits don't say much, but I've boycotted their product ever since. Now I see it's in trouble...well with fools like that on the payroll I'm not surprised. |
In the obnoxious celebrity category: My brother was on a JFK-LAX flight and Daisy Fuentes, who was seated directly behind him in first (of course), spent two plus hours on her cell phone during the flight. The FAs evidently thought this was OK for a celeb.

On a flight back from Hawaii, a pilot vacationing with his family took his baby and proceeded to change the baby's messy diaper in the aisle of first class. ... This was one of those experiences that was so out there, all you could really do was laugh at the audacity.

Placing a pig in a palace does not make him or her a prince or princess; unfortunately there are a few too many flying pigs who have no regard or respect for anyone but themselves. Two things that may help: swimming ear plugs which block out about 80% of dcb noise, capped with Noisebuster ear phones will keep about 95% out and a good sized piece of Limburger cheese, securely brough on board in a sealed Ziploc bag, will, when opened, elicit comments from nearby
passengers, allowing one to say something like "I'll close up my cheese when you close up your disturbing conversation." Chemist friend of Nathan's, also FF, has been working part time on what he hopes will be a marketable product called "Fartinabottle" which can be discreetly placed, and, when opened, will have the imagined effect. Just a speciality product for a speciality market. No ideas, at least not printable, on diaper behavious - or lack thereof. Chalk it up to flying pigs, I suppose. |
1. Yes, shadow, I thought of that. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif
2. If Nathan's chemist friend ever winds up on a flight with Hunnybear, we'll all get to read about it. |
CMDR CATCOP says this post is making his friend CATMAN very very sick.
Can we still to just flying stories and not any wild dreams of products like the above mentioned? CATMAN is nautious enough but to read something like this he's now very very sick. CATMAN adds: I'm probably the only person who doesn't find the last few posts funny. |
Ok Ok..
How about if you refuse to listen to the flight attendant and are obnoxious, drunk you lose your FF miles?? Or better yet.. fined in miles?? LOL! I know I would watch myself.. the only thing is the FA would get on a power kick... Hey, forget I said anything http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
Don't get me started...
Speaking of laptops, in 1st class on my last flight, and many other flights, why is it when they say "please discontinue use of all portable electronic equipment" seems to mean, keep right on doing as you were until the FA comes buy and has to give you a special request to stop. ??? Maybe the should put the manner's police in the sky with a big night stick and wack people when they get out of line. *L* ..get your feet off the wall!! WACK!! 3 weeks ago...a lady with rather ugly feet decided to show the whole cabin by letting them hang in isle(bare and uncovered) while she slept most of the 10-hour flight. They were so far in the isle, you had to gracefully maneuver around them to get past. Imagine the person sitting across the isle from her? Ok, I am going to shut up for now...but I could go on. |
Just put Sister Henrietta from St. Peter's into a FA uniform, and most passengers will enjoy the flight. The rest will complain about joint pain for a few days, but hey, knuckles are resilient. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
Can't you see the ads? The Flying Nuns... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif ------------------ "I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own." |
I think we can all be annoying in our own way so a little tolerance is called for. After all, life would be pretting boring if we were all automatons, marching to the same tune. Too bad we all can't be perfect like me http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif
Some of this adds to the richness (and yes frustration) of everyday life . . . Now as for letting Bill Clinton or Newt Gingrich move in next to me, that might be "too tolerant". http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif |
